Beirut is the capital of Lebanon. It is situated on the Mediterranean Sea. Throughout  the centuries, it was conquered, destroyed and rebuilt numerous times. Beirut is now the busiest city in Lebanon.  It is known for its hectic nightlife as well as its narrow streets packed with fancy restaurants, outdoor cafés and shopping pedestrians.
